Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Are there any hidden fees?
A. No. We charge just one nominal fee (described on our Sign Up page). We do not charge any hidden fees, office fees, membership dues, E&O fees, franchise fees, etc. The only costs you should incur to maintain an active license are your annual licensing cost to the Texas Real Estate Commission and your SAE/MCE requirements.

Q. What types of transactions am I allowed to do?
A. You can sell new construction, HUD REO's, referrals, apartment locate (ie rental referrals), and likely any other kind of transaction that doesn't require access to MLS or a keycard. We have a client 1st approach. You won't be paying for MLS or keycard services, so you won't have access to those services. If you have a client that would be best served by an agent that could search the MLS then show them regular traditional resale houses, this is someone you will not be permitted to represent. Honestly, why would you want to? Why not refer them to another agent, do a fraction of the work, then get paid a referral fee for basically passing along a name and number. Your dollar per hour earnings will be significantly higher than agents that work with clients in a full service capacity. If you are interested in a transaction not mentioned above, please contact our office to gain written authorization (email). Our goal is to help you find a way to close as many transactions as possible.

Q. Are my sales commissions from FSBOs or REOs to be sent directly to me from the sellers?
A. The only legal way for an agent to receive compensation for real estate services is to receive it from the broker.
All fees must be paid to the broker/company then we will split it with you, the agent.
It is also permissable for the broker to provide written authorization for a client or title company to disburse funds according to our direction.

Q. Do I have to attend meetings or go to an office?
A. Absolutely not! You determine when you work. It could even be while visiting relatives or friends or while on vacation. Whenever you happen to touch base with someone who tells you they would like to purchase or sell real estate, you will gather some basic information and submit your referral. That's all there is to it. We handle all the paperwork.

Q. Is it true the maximum I can make on a referral is $50?
A. You MUST hold an ACTIVE license to receive a referral fee (commission) over $50. This is actually a common problem for inactive agents. If your license is registered with TREC as inactive or expired, the maximum amount you can legally make for referring a lead to an active agent is $50. However if you have an active license, there is no limit to the amount of money you can make on referrals. The possibilities are unlimited. Holding an active license is naturally a good decision for anyone that would like to make thousands of dollars just by telling friends and family which agent you think would be best to help them buy or sell a house.

Q. Will I still have access to the MLS as a CRRCo member? What about joining a local board of realtors?
A. No, not unless you want to pay for it. Our sister company Chandler Crouch Realtors offers full service sponsorship complete with every fee and due you're getting to skip out on. You only pay for what you get, and nothing more. The CRRCo sponsorship opportunity is free from the fees AND services bought by joining NAR, TAR, Metrotex, MLS, all the board dues, and everything else. You cannot join a board of realtors under this sponsorship. Board of Realtors require the broker and all agents under that broker to join.
